We believe in sharing, not gatekeeping. That’s why we’ve created a growing collection of dispersed camping locations across Virginia. Our goal is to make it easier for everyone to discover and enjoy the beauty of Virginia’s wild spaces.
This resource will continue to expand as we explore more sites. We also invite you to contribute — if you know of any dispersed campsites in Virginia that you’d like to share, send them our way (include GPS location, any photos, and description such as size, cell service, etc.), just email fmcoverland@gmail.com and we’ll add them to the folder, with credit.
This is a downloadable GPX file which will be regularly updated as new locations are added, our OnX link/shared folder is updated as we identify new sites, link under our “OnX Content” tab.
Keep in mind that adventure and discovery are experiences meant to be shared with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Leave No Trace.
