It all begins with an idea of adventure, make that idea reality. Here is where we share our onXmap Routes of places we enjoy, so click the FREE link and go on an adventure. Make sure you have the onXmaps app.

Dispersed Campsites in Virginia
We believe in sharing, not gatekeeping. That’s why we’ve created a folder on onX Offroad featuring a growing collection of dispersed camping locations across Virginia. Our goal is to make it easier for everyone to discover and enjoy the beauty of Virginia’s wild spaces.
This resource will continue to expand as we explore more sites (this folder will automatically update as new locations are added). We also invite you to contribute — if you know of any dispersed campsites in Virginia that you’d like to share, send them our way (include GPS location, any photos, and description such as size, cell service, etc.), just email fmcoverland@gmail.com and we’ll add them to the folder, with credit.
For those using other navigation apps, we’ll also be offering a downloadable GPX file on our website, which will be regularly updated as new locations are added.
Keep in mind that adventure and discovery are experiences meant to be shared with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Leave No Trace.

FMC Weekender
This is the first time we used onXmaps to track/record/share a trip. We had the opportunity to scout a new area of the George Washington Forest in Virginia, if you are looking for a nice quick weekend trip to get away this is a good one.
Scouted this area on 10/7 & 10/8 of 2023. Start at HWY 60 onto Pedlar River Road (multiple dispersed campsites available) then to Little Irish Creek Road (multiple dispersed campsites available) then connector trail of Robinson Gap Road (smooth gravel) then onto Enchanted Creek Road (only open from Aug 1 to Jan 1) exit onto Blue Ridge Parkway. We ran this route from North to South but can be run from either direction, plus its a nice opportunity to drive some of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
This is our first try at sharing routes made in onXmaps, so all you should have to do is click the link button below!
